Featured Project
We worked on this exhibition at the MIT Museum for almost two years in collaboration with GlacierWorks, a nonprofit organization that vividly illustrates the changes occurring to the Himalayan glaciers through art, science, and adventure. Founded by acclaimed mountaineer, photographer, and filmmaker David Breashears, GlacierWorks has undertaken fourteen expeditions to the region to document the current state of the glaciers, retracing the steps of pioneering mountain photographers in order to capture new images that precisely match the early photographic records. The resulting then-and-now comparative photos reveal dramatic changes to the glaciers.
Rivers of Ice was a beautiful and, I think, important, exhibition that we developed for the MIT Museum with input from MIT faculty and researchers, and design by Thinc Design. I’m very proud to have brought it to MIT.
